Florian Dold

I’m Florian Dold, a software engineer and CTO at Taler Systems. There, I work on GNU Taler, a free software payment system that protects users’ privacy. I develop software, lead the engineering team, and work on research questions around secure payment systems. I’m particularly interested in programming languages, security and reliable software systems. I hold a PhD in computer science with a focus on information security. My dissertation examines the design of GNU Taler and analyzes its security. I like working on problems where theoretical ideas have practical applications.

Outside work, I enjoy cycling, cooking and eating good food, and drinking coffee.
